Emil Dale - Director (HE/HIM)

Emil Dale - Original Concept of KIN the Musical & Book Writer (HE/HIM): Emil Dale is a British Arab, director, producer, writer and was one of the first people of colour to be a principal of a UK drama school. www.emildale.co.uk

He is the founder of Emil Dale Academy in Hitchin, just outside of London and is also the co-founder of the talent agency Dale Hammond Associates. Alongside establishing the full and part-time schools of Emil Dale Performing Arts, Emil has also established The Factory Playhouse, a 200-seater theatre, previously a disused factory in Hertfordshire.

Producing and Directing credits at The Factory Playhouse include: Into The Woods (2015); Oliver! (2015); West Side Story (2015); Grease (2016); Les Miserables (2017); Thoroughly Modern Millie (2018); Legally Blonde (2018); Sweeney Todd (2018); In The Heights (2019); Little Shop of Horrors (2020).

Emil trained in Musical Theatre at Arts Educational School in London and started his career as a member of the Nation Youth Theatre and The National Youth Music Theatre of Great Britain… but would recommend Emil Dale Academy over anywhere else! He has appeared in: Hanging Around (National Theatre); St Vetus’ Project (Sadler’s Wells); Fly Floor at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Sondheim 7 5th Birthday Celebration at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.

Peter produced and arranged the Christmas #1 ‘A Bridge Over You’ (2015) and was involved in the Children In Need #1 ‘Wake Me Up’ (2014).

His vocal arrangements are available on multiple platforms and have been used in choral albums on various labels. Peter has also won three Lions and a Grand Prix (Cannes Festival) as part of the ‘Breathless Choir’ series.

In addition to KIN, Peter is also supervising and arranging 'Halbwelt Kultur', a period-song cycle of seven significant women, set against the cabaret-influenced backdrop of Weimar-era Berlin.

BEATRICE PRYOR - Company Manager (SHE/HER)

Beatrice is of Italian heritage. Beatrice started her acting career when she became a member of the National Youth Theatre. She then went on to train at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts where she graduated with a BA Hons in Acting. Beatrice worked for Emil Dale School of Performing Arts for 6 years as part of the Senior Management Team, an Acting Teacher and then later Head of Voice for Emil Dale Academy. Beatrice also has a corporate background as well as experience working for the charitable sector. She has been friends with Emil Dale for over 15 years and is so proud to be a part of this next ‘Emil Dale’ adventure.

Sarah Middleton - Dramaturg (SHE/HER)

Sarah is an actor, writer and musical theatre dramaturg. Credits include: The Wishing Stone (Separate Doors/Derby Theatre/Chichester Festival Theatre), SHEWOLVES, Willow Goes Wild (MPTheatricals), Pinocchio (Nottingham Playhouse). In 2022 Sarah will take up a residency at Hosking Houses - awarded by Mercury Musical Developments - to develop a new musical The Infinity Script. Sarah attends the Book, Music & Lyrics course and is one of Middle Child’s Associated Writers.
